The content and materials in this section of the Provider's Guide Web site are based on the virtual seminar "Reducing Health Disparities Among AAPI Populations," held in 2003. We are grateful to HRSA's Office of Minority Health (HRSA OMH) and the Bureau of Primary Health Care (HRSA BPHC) for visualizing the important role of electronic media in promoting cultural competence among providers. Special appreciation is given to Leonard G. Epstein, MSW, for his unfaltering efforts to integrate cultural competence into programs to improve the quality of health care for diverse populations. We also wish to thank June Horner and Gwendolyn Clark who saw the importance of making the seminar available to as many people as possible by making it a permanent part of the Provider's Guide Web site. Appreciation is offered to Laura Shepherd (HRSA OMH) for her ongoing commitment to this work.

Special acknowledgement is given to the Advisory Committee who contributed their time, and clinical and scholarly expertise in developing the initial virtual seminar.
